AI Automation Engineer

Firebird Tours is a travel-tech company automating operational, sales and back-office processes with AI. Our stack is built on n8n plus LLM APIs and integrations with internal systems. We are looking for a hands-on engineer who can talk to ops teams, find the real bottleneck, and ship a working AI solution end-to-end.

Not a prompt-engineering role. Not a data-science role. An engineering role with strong product/ops sense.

What you will do

• Talk to ops, sales and finance teams; turn vague problems into concrete AI workflows.
• Design, build and ship AI agents and automations end-to-end, including integrations and monitoring.
• Build workflows on low-code platforms, wiring up LLMs, internal tools, CRMs and third-party APIs (REST, webhooks, OAuth).
• Keep running workflows reliable: logging, error handling, cost control.
• Evaluate new models and tools; bring in what actually helps.

Must-have

• Hands-on experience shipping AI agents or automations that actually run in production. Built and shipped, not “took a course”.
• Practical experience with low-code automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, Pipedream or similar) — non-trivial workflows, not tutorials.
• Working knowledge of modern LLMs: prompting, tool/function calling, retrieval — what works and what doesn’t.
• Comfortable with APIs: REST, JSON, webhooks, OAuth, basic SQL.
• Able to read and write some code (Python or JS/TS) — enough for a small script or custom n8n node when low-code isn’t enough. You don’t need to be a software engineer.
• Product/ops mindset: take a vague business problem, scope it, propose a solution.
• Strong English and Russian, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Public artifacts (GitHub, write-ups, demos).
• Experience in travel, booking or payments.
