Helpdesk / Technical Support Engineer

Remote | Full-time | English Intermediate+

Candidate location: Europe, Serbia

Salary: 1,800$ +

Contract type: B2B / contractor

What you will do

Provide first-line technical support to users.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on user devices.

Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and peripherals.

Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions (e.g., Active Directory).

Support common business applications (MS Office, email clients, VPN, etc.).

Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes (account setup, equipment provisioning).

Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.

Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.

What we are looking for

1+ years of experience as a Helpdesk / Technical Support Engineer or in a similar role.

Good knowledge of Windows OS / Linux OS.

Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and access control.

Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

English: Intermediate+.

Nice to have

German: Pre-Intermediate+.
