IT System Engineer

Location: Remote (no RF)

Format: full-time, B2B, hourly payment

Language: English — B2 and higher, German — nice-to-have

CRITICAL MUST-HAVES

-At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT system administration

-Experience with Azure, AWS, Windows Server, client management, and Active Directory

-Proven responsibility in security operations (endpoint security, firewalls, incident triage)

-Experience in software deployment and patch management within enterprise environments

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Operate and stabilize Windows and Linux server environments on VMware and Dell EMC VxRail platforms

-Manage software deployment, patch management, and operating system hardening for more than 1,000 endpoints

-Support endpoint security for Windows and macOS systems

-Handle 2nd-level security incident investigations and resolution

-Process incidents, service requests, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes

-Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID

-Operate and optimize monitoring and alerting processes within the client's environment

-Manage backup, recovery, firewall, and VPN operations

-Perform regular maintenance activities

-Create and maintain documentation and ensure structured knowledge transfe
