Senior DevOps Engineer

Lisk is building a new kind of financial platform for businesses, replacing fragmented corporate financial tooling with a single modern workspace across web and mobile. The team focuses on secure, reliable infrastructure for money-handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve cloud infrastructure as part of a tight-knit platform team, sharing on-call and reviewing infrastructure changes.
• Extend and harden the Terraform/OpenTofu codebase managing AWS across multiple isolated environments.
• Operate and improve highly available services on AWS with SLOs, alerting, and on-call discipline.
• Lead security work: least-privilege access, secrets management, network segmentation, encryption, and audit logging.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD with keyless, short-lived cloud credentials to avoid long-lived secrets.
• Build observability: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerting to reduce detection time.
• Plan for failure: backups, restore drills, disaster recovery, and incident response testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/SysOps/Platform Engineering with significant ownership of production AWS environments.
• Deep, hands-on AWS experience across IAM, compute, networking, databases, storage, secrets, and observability.
• Expert in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu): modules, remote state, drift management, multi-environment codebases.
• Strong security instincts and experience designing least-privilege systems and managing secrets/credentials.
• CI/CD fluency, ideally GitHub Actions, including OIDC/keyless cloud authentication.
• Production operations maturity: observability, alerting, incident response, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Remote-first working style and ability to overlap 4–6 hours with European business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech/payments/banking or regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
• Web3/crypto infra experience running nodes, managing keys and HSMs.
• Threat modeling, security audits, or formal incident-response leadership.
• Database operations depth (Postgres tuning, zero-downtime migrations).
• Kubernetes, service mesh, or large-scale container orchestration experience.
• Proven cost-optimization wins and network architecture at scale (multi-account, Transit Gateway, private egress).
• Exposure to a second cloud (GCP/Azure) or multi-cloud networking.
